XCEL Drylock Review

Quite often in the shop we get asked about the Drylock wetsuits from Xcel.
"Why pay more for just a Dry Zip, surely the Infiniti is just the same".
Well a few of the boys in the shop have been using this suit all winter, and it's so much more than that!! And now the Summer version is out some of the team a frothing to get one whacked on their staff bills!!

The Front and Back Panels of the suit (the shiny bits) are the clever bit. The outside layer is single lined neoprene (the shiny stuff) to create a windproof barrier. Underneath is Airprene, this is made up of small pockets of air, that essentially hold the temperature inside the suit. And to top it off a lovely thermal lining inside made of Bamboo. This all combined makes this wetsuit one of the warmest on the market. Mmmm toasty!!

It doesn't stop there. And this is the bit that has really made the suit "the wettie" for this winter season, and carries on for the Summer suit. The Drylock wrist seams. Now this may just sound like marketing / sales BS, but they rule!!

This feature is exclusive to the Drylock range. A single cut of neoprene makes a seamless seal around your wrists, and makes it virtually watertight!! Many of the lads in the shop haven't had a flush down the arm all winter!! Printed PU inside the cuff also make it stick to you like glue. Sick!!

The suit is also 100% Glideskin taped, so it's lovely and smooth to slide on.

...oh and that Dry Zip that stops any drip from the front of the suit.
