BIG G, the shop ape, has been hard at work putting together some lovely new UNLEASHED surfboards. The first drop will be in store in the next few weeks. The first batch will be lovely fat fishy type summer boards; including boards from 5'8 to 6'2 with the width around the 20" mark. Perfect for ripping to pieces the typical UK summer waves.

Further batches will include Shortboards, Hybrids, Mini Mals & Longboards.

We will also be taking custom orders too.

The shop staff have just got back from testing all of next years Snowboards.
It was REALLY HARD WORK.....one board after the next, for hours on end, to make sure you get the best boards in the store for next winter!! Hard work but someone has to do it ;)

XCEL Drylock Review

Quite often in the shop we get asked about the Drylock wetsuits from Xcel.
"Why pay more for just a Dry Zip, surely the Infiniti is just the same".
Well a few of the boys in the shop have been using this suit all winter, and it's so much more than that!! And now the Summer version is out some of the team a frothing to get one whacked on their staff bills!!

The Front and Back Panels of the suit (the shiny bits) are the clever bit. The outside layer is single lined neoprene (the shiny stuff) to create a windproof barrier. Underneath is Airprene, this is made up of small pockets of air, that essentially hold the temperature inside the suit. And to top it off a lovely thermal lining inside made of Bamboo. This all combined makes this wetsuit one of the warmest on the market. Mmmm toasty!!

It doesn't stop there. And this is the bit that has really made the suit "the wettie" for this winter season, and carries on for the Summer suit. The Drylock wrist seams. Now this may just sound like marketing / sales BS, but they rule!!

This feature is exclusive to the Drylock range. A single cut of neoprene makes a seamless seal around your wrists, and makes it virtually watertight!! Many of the lads in the shop haven't had a flush down the arm all winter!! Printed PU inside the cuff also make it stick to you like glue. Sick!!

The suit is also 100% Glideskin taped, so it's lovely and smooth to slide on.

...oh and that Dry Zip that stops any drip from the front of the suit.

10 out of 10 Xcel. Good work!!

Unleashed recently held an Avalanche awareness evening; and it was a great success. A BIG thanks to James from BCA avalanche safety for doing the talk, which included the use of tranceivers and blowing up an Avalanche Safety Air Bag.

Damn it's cold!!

After a long summer with no sun, the UK sea temperature is particularly poor for this time of year. Xcel offer a great range of products, but this little beauty is worth a shout.

The added warth of a PolyPro vest, without the restriction of extra neoprene layers on your shoulder. Add to that a Metalite lined, glued and blindstitched hood. But the finishing touch of an additional neck cuff, that sits on the outside of your wetsuit neck. Stop any flush, drips or that annoying trickle you can sometimes get from a traditional hood. Genius this little baby!!
